New Inner Yoga/Biomechanics Intensive

  • Studio SAN 40 Tödistrasse Zürich, ZH, 8002 Switzerland (map)

I am in the process of bringing together a new group of curious and committed individuals (limited to no more than 5 participants) interested in uncovering and navigating the natural wisdom and intelligence (and resilience) of the body. Working closely together with participants, I help each person build a unique and personal sadhana or practice over time by uncovering old patterns, blind spots or hindrances (movement and otherwise). In this way, physical and mental/energetic self-practice becomes ripe, alive, supportive and filled with inquiry.

Program starts as soon as we have enough commitment, running for roughly twelve months - this program is built on a foundation of steady and gentle observation and mindful engagement with the body, primarily through movement explorations. It weaves elements of Yoga, Chinese medicine, and Daoist and Buddhist philosophies together with the building blocks of a mindful, conscious life into a cohesive, lifelong practice that evolves with each practitioner.

Some thoughts from a participant who began in 2025:

One main takeaway: Change is possible, in a short time! During the whole journey I got to know my body better, felt more, sensed more. What a gift! And the whole time i felt guided and supported by Anya. I could reach out to her anytime. I am convinced that only because of this support my body felt safe enough to go deeper, to show more of itself. The course helped me to develop a short morning practice where I focus on one thing. Knowing that everybody else in the course did the practice too, was a big motivation.

It’s not about having a goal, but to step into the realm of the body, of being patient, listening and see what’s coming up and just be with it. It’s about trusting the process. For sure the most profound yoga course I ever did, very grateful.
— Maja S. (ongoing participant since 2025)

Our first cohort (2025-26) has been an eye-opening and profound inspiration for all of us (and many will be continuing into a new iteration). I am looking forward to welcoming the next group whenever that new group takes its form.

We had one online participant who seemed to find her way very well with our in-person cohort. For this reason, I am open to the possibility of extending this option to one or two people who are not local. If you are interested in that, please reach out to via chat or email.

The intensive includes:

  • An initial private assessment with posture plus gait assessment before the training begins. This gives you a first step into where to begin your journey..

  • 7 In-Person Semi-Private Group sessions roughly every six weeks (2 hours each), Sessions blend guided exploration and developing the skills to translate your own observations into applied actions in the body.

  • A personal practice plan after each session derived from your personal explorations plus my input—alive, adaptive, and attuned to each individual

  • Online Classroom Access with class recordings, summaries and exercises to share.

  • Ongoing support

    • Five online or in-person 30 minute group check-ins to offer feedback, support, share experiences

    • Optional private group chat for sharing, feedback, and reflection. Many found this useful, but it is not a requirement.

  • 2 x Follow-Up photo and gait video assessments to witness and honor how your body evolves.

Total Investment for the first year: 1210 CHF
